After the tight siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces on the leaders of the armed forces, the putschists and the remnants of the defunct regime, and cutting off all supply lines, the last of which was the signal weapon, 130 members of the putschist forces present within the General Command, led by the rank of major general and other ranks, surrendered to the Rapid Support Forces.
All those who surrendered admitted that there had been a complete collapse of the forces present in the General Command and that they were all looking for a safe way out, pointing out that the putschists committed atrocities by executing physical assassinations of anyone trying to escape from the hell of the siege and chaining large numbers of people.
