Fasil Kenema football club’s 55th anniversary 5 kilometer running competition has ended.
The first vice mayor of Gondar city administration and Fasil Kenema football club board chairman Mr. Zewdu Malede said that Fasil kenema football club is the symbol of brotherhood and sisterhood of our club and Ethiopian unity.
On the eve of Epiphany celebration, the running race that was held on the occasion of the club’s 55th birthday has created a special atmosphere for the holiday.
The club has thanked Gondar University, Dashen Beer Factory, Fasil Football Club Supporters Association, Amhara Bank and others who have been supporting the club for the past 55 years.
As the president of Gondar University Dr. Asrat Atsede Weyen stated on his first ceremony, Fasil Kenema Football Club is our identity.
The president stated that the role of the fans is important in overcoming the problem the club is facing said that the university will continue to strengthen its support for the club.
The chairman of Fasil Kenema Football Club Fans Association Mr. Bantayehu Tamir has thanked Amhara Bank, Gondar University, Dashen Beer and others who are supporting the club.
At the end of the competition, the contestants who stood up from one to three were given certificates of participation in the children, youth and adults categories.
Certificates of appreciation have been given to the organizations and sponsors that contributed for the success of the running competition.
