For all the people of Tsemako and Benatsemay Woreda community and for the residents of South Omo zone, happy first public holiday of Barbaysa. The unity and togetherness of the people should be strengthened and attention should be given to know their culture
In southern Omo zone Tsemako tribe Barbaisa holiday was celebrated for the first time in the Woreda Luqa Kebele with various programs.
South region women, youth and social affairs chairperson Mrs. Wolayte Bito urged for the unity of the people to strengthen and promote their culture.
Mrs. Wolayte said we should all take responsibility and work so that people’s cultural traditions are known as Ethiopia’s wealth.
Mrs. Wolayte said that the Tsemako tribe “Barbaisa”, which was celebrated as a public holiday for the first time, has been celebrated by elders and tribal leaders.
The Ethiopian government announced that it will work with the community to promote the culture of Bena and Birele community.
