Today the 23rd of February 2016 E.C. The 84th annual celebration of the Agew horsemen association has been celebrated with different events and has ended peacefully.
The annual celebration of the Agew horsemen was celebrated peacefully, announced the chairman of the board, Mr Getachew Bishaw. The entire Awi people and the security structure deserve to be thanked for this success. Various horse shows were held at the 84th annual celebration of the Awi horsemen. The 84th annual celebration of the Agew horsemen was celebrated with the slogan “Peace – Patriotism for the Brotherhood”.

The Agew horsemen’s association is an association that provides services in the fields of reconciliation, the return of stolen goods, the repair of wrongs, the burial of the dead, visits to the sick and many more. The association, which has 62,221 members, is free from any political institution.

The Regional Department of Culture and Tourism will be working to turn the Agew Horsemen Association’s annual celebration into a tourist destination. Mr Tahir Mohammed will be working on behalf of the region. Head of the Amhara Region Culture and Travel Office
At the 84th annual Agew horsemen celebration, cultural group members and Admas Ethnic Administration union workers performed cultural dances. Cultural groups from woredas and towns within the Awi Ethnic Administration performed various cultural songs and dances to celebrate the 84th annual celebration of the Agew Horsemen.

On the eve of the 84th Agew Equestrian Festival, a panel discussion was held.
This was stated by Mr Tewodros, the General Administrator of the Awi ethnic group, who was leading the panel discussion.
They mentioned that Agwis are a proud community living in harmony with all nationalities regardless of ethnicity, language and religion. The Agew people were of the opinion that they are law-abiding people, even when there is a change of government.

The Chief Administrator, Ayizew, called on all societies to play their part in passing on the culture and history of the nation’s administration to the next generation, noting that the Agew Horsemen Association is registered with UNESCO and is working to bring social and economic benefits.
The head of the Culture and Tourism Department of the Awi Ethnic Administration, Mr Leikun Sisay, mentioned that the Agew Horsemen Association is an association that solves problems for the Agew people and said that it is an association that campaigns in times of trouble and creates peace.
M. Laykun Aklew said that the association is working with stakeholders and Injibara University to make it socially and economically beneficial.
